Hi, everyone!
Back in the 1960's (I believe) the Houston Post (I think... could have
been the Chronicle) ran a children's story as a separate insert into the
Sunday comics. The story was called "Shy," and it was wonderfully
touching.
Unfortunately, I did not save it. My mother loved that story, and her
birthday is next week. She asked the other day, "Do you remember that
story 'Shy'?" And now, I'd like to find it for her and present it to
her as a birthday gift (yes, I'm always trying to find the perfect
impossible gift!).
So, naturally, I turn to the phenomenally inventive and inquisitive and
knowledgeable folks here at seeknfind.
