Pedro:
I have to make a decission for the new computers.
Our company is working with compaq...
i think we will buy some deskpro EN or EP computers...
these are the standard requirements for our computers:
Minimum requirements of PC/Notebooks (Vitra Group IT Standard)
Pentium II 300 MHz
128 MB RAM
CD-ROM-Drive
Network-Card: 10/100 Mbit Ethernet
14,1" TFT-Display (Notebook) or 17" Monitor (PC)
Windows NT 4 (or, if Exact DOS is going to use: Win98)
MS Office 97, WinZip
it seems to be a high standard....
the computers i have to order have to work with Exact (do you know this
programme?).
I hear different opinions wheter it would be possible to work with exact and
winNT or not.
That i have to find out for sure...
an other thing is that we want to use our tower in the vertical way....the
company i work at is a company is providing office furniture
(www.vitra.com). we have in our ad hoc serie, special boxes for vertical
cpu's.
and that makes the difference to buy EP or EN.
the EN tower is only to use in horizontal way..... but seems to be better
(there's a different structure in the computer)
there's a better graphic card in it and a better guarantie (3years on pieces
and hours for reparations); the EP serie has just one year on pieces.....
the EP is delivered with screen but not with a good screen, so i think we
will have to order a better screen anyway...
i don't know if you know anything about these computers...
