I am looking for a tutorial about system crystals and clock speed and how
they relate to the speed of the CPU.
Just to help you understand what kind of information I am looking for, here
is an example:
If I buy a Pentium II, 450 MHz CPU but my system crystal is only 100 MHz, am
I just wasting my money. And do I need to buy a new motherboard to upgrade
my system crystal?
Any information on system crystals and clock speed would help so much. I am
just not completely getting it and I am having a hard time getting through
this chapter.

P.S. I am sure I am going to have so many more questions concerning my
studies that I will need tutorials for. And I hate to have you all do all
this work for me (I have a feeling I will be needing A LOT of extra
information). So if anyone knows of a tutorial on how to use a search engine
so that I can enter in "clock speed", for example, and NOT get back 100
sites describing the mating calls of the green speckled tree frog. That
would probably help me out a lot!
