You can download Internet Explorer which also includes Outlook Express for
free at Microsoft's website.I would recommend you also sign up for
Microsoft's free security updates while you're there as well. They have many
security problems with their software. I get the updates almost daily. Some
will not be pertinent to you but some will be. You cannot download Outlook
Express separately.
After you download IE you will then have to install it. When installing
it will install over your existing IE and Outlook Express. You should not
have to reset anything you already have in either program. All your email
and preferences should remain after the new installation is finished. If I
remember correctly the installation procedure should ask you if you want to
save your old settings, etc. You can read all about this at the Microsoft's
website. I've done this several times with no problems. Good luck.

I am having lots of problems with my OE 5.00 lately and was thinking of
reinstalling it. Is there somewhere on the web I can download it free ?
I know I will have to save all my emails before installing it again, but
is their anyway I can save my settings, message rules etc..... I am
worried about getting it wrong if I have to put them in again. Are
Internet Explorer and Outlook express linked ? Do I have to reinstall
them both ? I am only having problems with OE and don't really want to
touch IE if possible. Thanks in advance for all your help.
