USENET is a large group of bulletin board type forums arranged in
heirachal groups. One can read, post or reply to messages posted to
the various newsgroups.
Generally you use an Internet program called a newsreader and connect
to a News Server provided by your ISP. Your ISP may not provide you
a News Server. You should contact your ISP and inquire if they have
USENET news services provided for you.
Your Netscape program can be utilized as a newsreader, but first you
have to make sure you have a news server in which to connect.
In the meantime, we can use a WWW gateway to access this group and
just use your browser to access a newsgroup.
NewsOne.net is a new WWW-to-USENET gateway service that will allow
you to read and post to many USENET newsgroups using your web browser.
