It is a day set aside to give thanks to our blessings. Our
Thanksgiving has the same roots as many other nationalities' holiday of
thanks. It is based on celebrating the coming of the Harvest. You
will find many cultures celebrate their Harvest with a giving thanks.
Our own Thanksgiving in America began with the first Thanksgiving
celebrated by early settlers called the Pilgrims.
There are several good Thanksgiving sites on the WWW. Here is a good
one I picked out for everyone:

Well, commercialism enters into most everything these days. Your
ability to honor and enjoy any holiday comes in your being able to
separate the commercial from the sentiment.
