Subject: AGU100 Session: Frontiers in Electromagnetic (EM) Geophysics - Call
for Abstracts

Dear Colleagues,

Please consider submitting an abstract to the following session at the
upcoming AGU Centennial Meeting in San Francisco this December.

GP005 - Frontiers in Electromagnetic (EM) Geophysics

In this general session, we call for contributions on all aspects of
Electromagnetic (EM) Geophysics, including theory, laboratory measurements
of rock/mineral resistivity, instrumentation, and development of new
methodologies for processing, modelling and inversion. We also seek
presentations on the application of diverse EM methods to imaging the Earth
at all scales, from regional studies of tectonic and magmatic systems, to
searching for or characterizing conventional/unconventional resources, to
investigating small-scale structures relevant to environmental, engineering,
and hydrological problems. Studies with land, marine, and satellite data are
all welcome. Multi-disciplinary studies e.g., combining EM with other
geophysical and geological methods to achieve a better understanding of
solid Earth systems, or with space physics to better understand the Earth's
electromagnetic environment, are particularly encouraged.

Primary Section/Focus Group: Geomagnetism, Paleomagnetism and
Electromagnetism

Cross-Listings: Mineral and Rock Physics, Near Surface Geophysics,
Magnetospheric Physics, Tectonophysics

Invited Speakers:

Philip Wannamaker, University of Utah

Anne Pommier, UC San Diego, Scripps Institution of Oceanography

The deadline for abstract submission is Wednesday, 31 July at 23:59 EDT. The
meeting will be held in San Francisco, CA, from December 9-13, 2019.
