Ken, In my research for a paper on Tesla, I learnt that a movie has been made on the rivalry between George Westinghouse, who supported Tesla’s AC preference (motors, etc.), and Edison who pushed for DC. It is called “The Current War” and will be released in about September/ October. The actors are reasonably well known including Edison’s character played by Benedict Cumberbatch.
Of course, there have been other movies for the general audience on prominent physicists (Hawkins) and mathematical geniuses (John Nash played by Russel Crowe) but have there been any others on famous geophysicists?
