Ken, OK, I am in holiday mood, and retired so I found time to look at this presentation with an open mind. I know I could be more dismissive if I was stressed by work and short of time to view it. As you say it is a combination of reality and SciFi but I would go for minimal Sci Fi. We have heard of multiple drones spraying fields of sensors before (also for EM receivers). As I understand, wireless pick-up is available. They are not claiming anything impossible from the results, like gold at 10km., just a better way to acquire standard seismic (as shown in the video).
They are however, guilty of making claims as yet unsubstantiated by any real results. A first “small-scale pilot” study in the jungles of PNG, “reduced apertures by a factor of 1 in 15”(?) and WILL be followed by an industrial test…in 2021". Then an acquisition in the deserts of Abu Dhabi WILL take place from late 2019 through early 2020”. Unless they have just not updated their presentation. TOTAL are not exactly a shonky company. You have got me wanting to see their future developments.Thank you for sharing it. I agree that the video must have been expensive.
