Vucic: Security services say Solak behind Slovenia’s refusal to grant agrément

Serbia will respond only once it learns the “real reasons” for Slovenia’s
decision to refuse to grant agrément to Serbia’s designated ambassador, Serbian
President Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday.

Slovenia has refused to accredit Serbia’s Zoran Djorjdevic, the current CEO of
the Serbian Post Office and former minister, as head of the mission to Slovenia
citing “formal obstacles of security nature,” reported the Slovenian daily Delo.

In connection with this decision, Vucic told reporters at the military airport
in Batajnica, Belgrade, that he was told by people “from the security services”
that United Group owner Dragan Solak had “influenced the decision makers in
Slovenia,” but that he does not believe that.

“I find it impossible that a tycoon can have such influence, so I will wait to
see what the real reasons are, and Serbia will then respond accordingly,” said
Vucic.

Dragan Solak is the founder and co-owner of United Group, within which N1
operates.
