Vucic stressed that this was the day when international law and order, truth and justice, came to an end. "Today, despite everything, we can say that we see things much more clearly. That there is no longer any doubt, that everything is laid bare and that everything is crystal clear. Every war that continues in the world, every act of (international) violence today, the annulment of principles and laws today, all of that did not start yesterday, it started on March 24, 1999. And if someone asks today why international law is being violated, the only correct, the only true answer is because permission for that was given on March 24, 1999," said Vucic. He pointed out that the answer to the question of why territories are being taken from some countries today, their territorial integrity and sovereignty violated, is once again - because of the practice that was introduced on March 24, 1999. "Why is order being enforced with bombs? Why the killing of officials and civilians, why the destruction of infrastructure, demolition of entire cities, why such an open execution of all that is humane and of empathy? There is only one answer: because March 24, 1999 happened," said Vucic. The president added that it was not only the day when the brutal bombing of a free and sovereign country started, but also the day when international law and order, truth and justice, compassion and a humane approach came to an end. "The day when the world embarked on its, perhaps even final, destruction. And if that happens tomorrow, if we are surrounded by the ruins of an entire civilization, there will be no doubt - the beginning of that end was on March 24, 1999," said Vucic. The commemoration of the Day of Remembrance for Victims of NATO Aggression was attended by officials from Serbia and the Serb Republic, Serbian Patriarch Porfirije, as well as about 10,000 citizens.
