Driving home, and heard rattling upon acceleration. Sounded like a
piece of metal was dragging, but when I looked under the car nothing is
touching the floor.
One thing I did notice, the heat shield is rusted through, one side is
loose. Do I have to get a new muffler, or can I take that stupid heat
shield off. I think that is where all the rattling is coming from--the
loose piece.
Any help would be appreciated. I am a college student, and would love
to take the opportunity to get a GReddy catback exhaust, but I probably
have to settle for Pep Boys PERFORMANCE exhaust :)
