Just thought I'd share some info. I researched the rear drum to disc
brake conversion for the b14 and here's what I found. My friend at my
local Nissan parts dept. showed me the blueprint of the disc and drum
setups on the B14. and from the looks of things you will need to obtain
the rear beam axle pieces from an SE-R to do the swap. The caliper
mounting brackets are part of the axle itself. Sounds and looks like it
would be a big pain in the ass!

This got me to thinking, all the rear brakes do in our application is to
provide the proper bias so our cars don't plow uncontrollably under hard
braking. This being said do we really need increased clamping power in
the rear to accommodate for better braking up front? I was thinking of
doing an SE-R conversion up front, with just stainless lines and KVR
performance shoes on the rear drums. Anyone see any problems with this
setup. The rear should still provide enough braking power to give the
proper bias, and if bias was a problem, would just changing the master
cylinder fix this problem? Sounds feasible enough. Anyone have any
additional variables that could alter my plan? Let me know what you
think!
