One more thing to the guy who had the center console getting warm.
I think the engine is running too rich. This forces the cat to burn off the
excess fuel and all the catalytic convertor does is turn that excess fuel
into heat and byproducts. More fuel= more heat.
Tell your local mechanic the car is running rich and have them take care of
it.
