I experience the same phenomenon all the time--some days the engine is a
little monster, other days it's just...little. My guess is that it has
something to do with heat-soak, as I have been told that the GA16's run very
high oil temperatures and my car's performance does seem to be
weather-related. For instance, on Friday, my car felt sluggish and dead, and
the temp's were in the high 70's. Last night I drove 70 miles and the car
was running hard, temp's were in the 40's. I bet an oil cooler might be a
possible solution.
On the other hand, I *think* I have seen a thread similar to this one on the
SE-R list, and I *think* several people said that the JWT ECU eliminated the
bad days.
On the other, other hand, I might be slinging monkey poo.
