I would run premium gas in your car for 5 tanks with
the first tank treated with STP compete fuel system
treatment. That should help.
You can try using Mobil 1 synthetic oil in your engine
but befor you do that make sure you take off the oil
pan and clean out the sludge.
I did this for my 91 SE and i never get ~39MPG in the
highway and ~35MPG in the city. I have ~150,000 miles
on my car
If you have any mods like CAI or Intake, that may
decrease your milage also.
I think that your engine needs to be cleaned
out..especially the injectors or tuned up.
You can try changing the Fuel filter, the distributer
cap and spark plugs and wires. Try regrounding teh
MAF but if there is no RPM problem I would not worry
about that.
You may have close to 100000miles and a bit of
maintenance is required.
