That is the same method that I use and I still always come up over 32mpg.
Granted this is an average of the highway miles and very short city miles
but still it is a good average mpg.

gas. Then the next time I am at the station, I divide the miles I traveled
by the gallons of gas I filled up. I think this is the most precise method.
