I had to cut the lip because my 215/40/16 tuners rubbed severely when on the
track. I had to do a hack job at the track with tin snips! It worked until
I got home to cut the lip right. You have to do this for the tires not to
rub. I never had problems rubbing, but the stock suspension leaned bad on
me, the sway bars are the culprit, but I would do a package with struts
springs and sway bars to save money. But cut the lip to prevent rubbing, you
could tear a sidewall.
