SML: Re:suspension question

I asked about my 16" rims rubbing fender in back,somebody suggerted to cut 
part of the fender OFF,would it be possible to get spacers or something?I 
still have all stock suspension but will prolly go with new struts and shocks 
soon i just need a temp. and easy fix for now.Also do not want to cut fender 
because i have chrome fender trim.
