" today as i was driving oil started to come down from underneth the stiring
colum... does anyone know what this can be..."

Sounds like brake fluid to me. the master cylinder and brake booster are on
the other side of the driver's firewall. When the cup-seals start to fade in
the master cylinder, brake fluid can leak back through the vacuum booster and
on to the brake pedal.
This isn't a requirement for your master cylinder to be leaking in to the
cabin but, does your brake pedal creep away from you at stoplights?? (mostly
applies to automatics, not standard transmissions)
I would get up under there and get a better look at where it's coming from
with a flashlight. Chances are it's coming from the area that the brake pedal
pushrod enters the firewall. Just a possibility...not stating it as fact.
