The last place I lived I just hooked a hose up to the hot water in the
basement and ran it outside. There was a sink with a threaded faucet for a
hose so I could adjust the temperature. Then on a sunny day when the
temperature went above freezing I would just wash the car and spray all the
dirt off. Now I just go to a carwash with a bunch of quarters and spray
everything off with the hand sprayer. I don't bother trying to keep the
car perfectly clean during the winter. As long as the salt and dirt don't
get too bad I just wait until spring to detail everything.
