This is exactly why I hate living in Alaska. I gave my car about 2 coats of 
wax prior to the 1st snowfall. From there on out, I usually just hit up the 
$8 jet-spray car wash to keep the crap off. When I am feeling hardcore, I 
take it to a do-it-yourself carwash stall and clean it really good. It kills 
the motivation to clean your car when all it takes is about 24hrs of driving 
around in dirty slush. Then you're back to where you began...with a dirty 
car. It gets so nasty you'd think I just got done rallying.
