hi,

I've an oil leak at the front crankshaft seal. Yesterday I had a look at it,
removed some of the belts and confirmed I can touch fresh engine oil around
the main pulley and shaft. I couldn't investigate the pulley fully (started to
darken).

How do I remove the pulley ? ('92 Sentra XE) Do I need a special tool (puller)
to do it ? I asked for estimation at the local pepboys, and they told $800
because the engine has to be lifted out. Is this true ? I can hardly believe.

Other Q: I took off the distributor cap, and observed black deposits on the
rotor head and the four small metal things what the rotor contacts.
Is this a bad thing ? The engine works well, even at high speed.

Thanks,

Tivadar
