To remove the pully, you will need to simply jack the car up remove the
passenger wheel. Now remove the plastic shroud that surrounds the engine on
the side. Now the engine is exposed and pully and stuff is shown. You will
now need to remove all the belts. After you get them off, get a suitable
pipe and a socket that will fit the pully bolt. Its like 32mm or something.
Now, rest the pipe and socket wrench against the frame of car. Now take off
the spark plug wires and coil wire. Crank the engine in very small spurts to
crack the bolt off. I did this twice and it came loose. The bolt can now be
removed easily. The nest thing to do is to take a good pry bar and just
wiggle the pully on all sides pully with it. Mine came right off with no
puller. The pully is not pressed on it just has a key to keep it in place.
The front seal is another matter. You have to remove the front cover
to get the front seal out. It has a retainer to hold it in place. You don't
want to damage this. When you get the front seal out, you will need a good
press and a hammer to tap in the new oil seal and retainer. Then replace
the front cover and replace the components. You should get a good Nissan
manual for all the torque specs and such for replacing the items back.
