Hey LM,
I have a 91 Sentra with bumped up timing of to 15 degrees, unorthodox pulley,
warm air intake and 2 inch catback exhaust, if that matters. When I first
start the car and start to run, I get what sounds to me like valv clatter. It
only happens for the first 2 or 3 minutes if that long upon
acceleration.After the temperature needle starts to move, the clatter
disappears. Never had a car ping on me before so do not believe that is it,
due to the 91 or higher octane gas that is always put in the car. I do not
have a tach, but noise usually occurs around 30 to 35 in second gear.
