Hi.

There're 2 ways to solve your problem, a good, which is painful (for 
someone(s)), and a bad which is easy, but really bad on the long run.

1. Make the list moderated. This will be a kill for the poor soul moderator 
for sure, but solves all your problems.

2. Start a new list, where the subscriptions are accepted based on the list 
members approval (like an elite golf club or so). This will not sacrifice one 
person for moderator, and will create a nice high society for the members.

In my experience with similar mailing lists (originally small & expert, 
expanding on popularity) the people usually go by the second option - such as 
human nature is.
