Thanks for your reply. !
The TPS part may be beyond me, so for starters, I replaced the fuel filter
today.
Side Note: It sure took longer than I expected, as the hoses just DIDN'T
want to come off the filter...
Took lots of twisting and coaxing to get it off, and it wasn't easy to get
my hands down in there either...
( But it felt good to work on a car for the first time in years !)
But in my haste last night, after getting towed home, (Thanks to my AAA
membership)
I left the ignition on last night, which drained the battery.
I would have replaced the battery today also, so I could test if the new
fuel filter solved it,
But the battery post cables' nuts have very long bolts, requiring deeper
spark-plug like socket/rachet to reach them with out being blocked.
Any suggestions on what to get? Should I just buy a deep socket metric
rachet set? A vice grip was too clumsy,. and I didnt want to risk stripping
the bolt!
Maybe I'll just jump it tomorrow, and will report back......
1) If it doesn't work, what can I expect to be charged for a fuel pump
replacement?
2) Also, can this be a do it your self repair?
I am at the level of doing simple repairs like replacing spark plugs,
alternator, fuses, fluids, fuel filter, etc
Nothing heavy duty...

You should check the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). I don't know the

When did you last replace the filter? They're cheap.
