Yup that's so easy for you to say. I bet if your motor popped and your car
is protected by warranty, you would rather not shell out 4 grand from your
own pocket to pay for it. I am sure you wouldn't no matter what religion you
believe in. So quit talking like you the wise moral teacher.
The value of new cars is the warranty. It is included in the price you pay
when you purchased it from the dealer or else why not just buy a used car
for way cheaper.
> WHy don't you be a man about it and admit it.
> That's why the rest of us get hassled whenever we want warranty work done.
> It's because of assholes like you. To me, this is like insurance fraud.
> That's why everyone's insurance costs so much.
Sorry this is far from insurance fraud. Insurance fraud is something done
intentionally to rip off the insurance company such as busting your own
bumper and report it as a hit and run to get insurance money to get a body
kit. That is totally immoral and I would never ever do anything like that.
What I'm doing is far from insurance fraud. Nissan engineers design their
cars to be reliable and forgiving even from wear and tears of human
operation excluding collision. They speculated the common possibilities of
humman errors and implemented prevention methods to account for it when they
designed the vehicle; such as the 107mph speed limiter, rev limiter,
prevention mechanism from shifting into reverse or first gear when above a
certain speed. Car engineers presumes that the driver will see redline of
their car so these engineers are aware or rather "should" be aware of the
vulnerability and tolerance of operation under such conditions. Why would
car companies advertise the ultra high redlines or the high rpm variable
valve timings of cars such as the s2000 etc. if the car is not supposed to
be driven up to that point?
Common sense. Warranties are offered to provide technical assurance for
consumers that the product they purchase will operate smoothly for at least
a certain time frame. I know a couple grand in that $16,000 purchase of the
Sentra was for the warranty. If I don't use the warranty, I would be ripping
myself off of the 36k mile agreement I had with Nissan when I purchased the
car. I just don't want to tell the dealer I was racing because I'm afraid
his personal passion or stereotype will deter me from getting the warranty I
paid for. I know a friend whose transmission broke and the honda dealer
denied his warranty because he had an intake, header, and a roaring loud
exhaust. You just don't know how that feels because it never happened to
you.
Terrin, I really don't appreciate your wise ass comments. Please don't even
reply to my message if you're not going to say anything productive.
