I am in need of help. My '95 GXE GA16DE that has been very reliable for 128K miles
started to show its age. Yesterday afternoon, it cranked but did not want to turn on.
A BB member suggested that I replace the distributor cap and rotor (which I did), did
not help. Aside from the cap and rotor, I replaced the fuel filter and spark plugs.
My plug wires are about six months old. The only signs that I had were:
1. It was hard to start when cold. When it turned, I could hear a "scratchy" sound
when the ignition was released.
2. The car was sluggish for the past few days.
