personally i would replace the timing chain and i would try prolong or some
additive to help the ring. pull the spark plugs out and check to see if there
is oil on the plug if there is then a leak cause the rings or the problem
is in the head some where in the intake or exaust . then on the speedo i
would replace the cable first buy from nissan it's like 20 or 30 dollars and
then if it persists then try the whole guage assembly itself.its probably
doing that cause it got stretched and broke the speedometer. good luck
