Mike,
I read your article on TSN about ignitions. I have a Jacobs Electronics
Ignition system called the i.C.E Pak. I saw that you aren't very fond of it
and I was really curious of problems or failures that I should be watching
out for. I have a '99 and everything has been working fine with upgraded
ignition. No great improvements but the only reason I bought it was because
of future intentions of forced induction. I've been told that upgraded
ignition systems are recommended for forced induction applications. I've
also been told that upgraded ignition systems don't do jack otherwise and
that they just increase your engine's potential HP output as opposed to
literally increasing HP. So I really wasn't too disappointed in it. I just
wanted to prep the car to have the best possible atmosphere for what I plan
to do. Do you think I'll run into problems with the ignition when I go
turbo or nitrous oxide?
