That is not true, a properly desinged turbo system is
not bothered by an automatic and an autmatic has stall
speed issues to consider when matching a turbo. None
of the top 30 or so quick class racers have automatics
for instance.
None of the turbocharged hillclimb or FIA Rally cars
do either.
