Not so with the GA16DE I don't think. I found the tensioner to sit behind
the thermostat tower. So I guess you would need to drain the coolant and
remove the thermostat tower to gain access to the tensioner. Just for kicks
I tried to get a wrench in there to loosen the two bolts that hold the
tensioner but no go. Plus there is no clearance to pull the tensioner out
unless the thermostat tower is removed.
Abit of a PITA, but absolutely do-able with some prep and a afternoons worth
of time.
