Subject: [Sepsis Groups] Antibiotics in Sepsis

Zoysn can be infused in 30 minutes
Vancomycin or quinolones such as Levaquin or cipro take 120 minutes..

If your providers are using both antibiotics ( our staff does).. we have
educated our nurses Fastest First. This little reminder has helped reduce the
number of fall outs related to antibiotics started timely for the SEP-1 bundle

Does anyone have a "guide" for nurses as to which antibiotic is administered
first.
If so, would you be willing to share?
For example, struggling sometimes with Zosyn, nurses are waiting to hang it
last since it infuses over 4 hours.
