I'm fine continuing to use Google Groups and mostly interacting with it via email, but I'm open to switching to GitHub Discussions if that's the direction the community wants to go. So if you have an opinion one way or another, please post here.
For historical background, Google Groups wasn't a deliberate choice on my part for the Sequel discussion forum, it was already the discussion forum before I started maintaining Sequel, back when Sequel's repository was hosted by Google Code.
