I'm still getting "Communications link failure" on my sequoia cluster nodes after being idle for sometimes. I have already increased the interactive_timeout in /etc/my.cnf to 50000 (should I increase it to a higher number?)
The point with interactive_timeouthere is to have it consistent with the idleTimeout setting of the pool in the vdb.xml. The interactive_timeout should be bigger so that the connection pool idles-out connections before they are trashed by mysql.
You can try to set interactive_timeout to e.g. 500000 (2 weeks) or more, but this will just push the issue further.
There might be a problem with the connection pool.
I need to have this fixed right away permanently. Can someone please help me resolve this issue. Thanks very much.
