A year and a half ago, Norman created next-minor to "Rename v2.3 branch to
next-minor", but as far as I can see, branches/v2.3 continued, and I'm
trying to figure out what was done, since it appears that there was a
divergence.
Norman, can you elaborate while I review the commit logs?
FWIW, I've compared tags/build_2_3_1 and branches/v2.3, and that's fine.
