We had a number of recent messages (2 related to spring, 2 related to imap) about people trying to build sandboxes or branches code for things we already merged to trunk.

I think we should clean up our sandbox/branches stuff so to make it clear what is outdated and what still have an use.

For branches I propose to move from
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/james/server/branches/
to
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/james/server/branches/old/
The following branches:
- branch_2_1_fcs
- imap-dev
- java_apache
- v2-0a2candidate1
- v2-1-pop3file

For sandboxes instead I'm not able to understand the status for each one, so this is what I propose, feel free to give better suggestions.

I would create an "inactive" folder and a "merged" folder.

I propose to move from:
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/james/server/sandbox/
to:
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/james/server/sandbox/merged
the following sandboxes:
- james-jcr
- spring-integration
- seda-imap-modular

and to move from
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/james/server/sandbox/
to:
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/james/server/sandbox/inactive
everything else.
AFAIK we have no "active" branches ATM.

Doubts (because I don't know their status)
"design-doodles": maybe this should be left in the main folder as it is recent.
"imap-functional": don't know if this is merged, active, old or what.

Everything else seems to be more than 1 year old.

opinions?

Stefano
