MAILBOX-45 (Design and Implement Mailbox with NoSQL Storage) is very
close to MAILBOX-44 (Design and implement a distributed mailbox using
Hadoop) (I forgot to put MAILBOX-44 in the list).
I proposed MAILBOX-44 which is a direct implementation of the Mailbox
API on the hadoop framework.
I you look at http://s.apache.org/z2 uml scheme, the project will be
concretized with a mailbox-hdfs project implementing mailbox-api and
using mailbox-library
You can get the sources in
http://james.apache.org/mailbox/source-code.html and build them with
help of http://james.apache.org/server/3/dev-build.html (these are
instructions for the server project, but it will work out for mailbox).
Robert proposed MAILBOX-45 which is a more generic REST (http) based
mailbox (I will let Robert further comment...).
Whatever you could be interessed in, we at James will be happy to
