James is extremely stable and functional in its niche,
I hear this "niche" again and again, but I do not understand it. Isn't mail the most used medium? Why is James a "niche" product and sendmail or postfix not? Since JAMES is in Java, it should be even more spreaded than the others :).

If you are someone who wants to build from source without using the source download or read the dev mailing list traffic, well (perhaps unfortunately), we ask that you take the next few steps on your own.
I just wanted to "build from the source" to learn about JAMES first, cause the documentation is "VERY little", so I thought that reading the source, and watching how is made, maybe I can learn a little more (It was just a try, because I made this with other projects too and it worked till yet).
The problem in JAMES case was that the project didn't even compiled, and this is very discouraging for new users.

I encourage anyone who does want to do this to spend a few minutes reading through dev mailing list posts from the past couple of months, and he or she would be in a good position to contribute.
I read a lot from the two lists, but the information is very distributed and unstructured so a new users doesn't know what's still actual or what problems are already solved, or how to connect the different concepts. This is what WIKI was made for, but it's pretty empty in the case of JAMES (even if the project already has a few years).

Thank you for your patience,

Ahmed.
