AFAIK the domain configuration is there since Win95 ;-)

Here is what I do on winxp:

Control Panel, System, Computer Name, there is a text field with the
computer description. In the bottom you have a Change domain button.
It opens a new window, there is a text field with a computer name...
just below you find a button to specify the domain.

I can't give you exact labels because I have a localized windows, and
not english.

You can google "change domain name windows <yourversion>" for step by
step guides.

Sorry, I thought you were generating mail inside James, using javamail.

Please let us know if adding the domain to windows solve your problem.
