I've been having similar probs. with the OCI, running under NT with IIS the webserver
crashed. I switched to weblogic type 2, but the problems occatianlly occurs anyway.
How is performance with the type 4 driver, does it support lobs?

The OCI driver frequently stops working for no apparent reason.
This was on Solaris 2.6, Oracle 8, NES 3.5.1, JRun 2.2.1 using the
JavaExchange connection pool. Sometimes the symptom is a hang,
sometimes an actual DB exception, but in either case the symptoms go
away after switching to the thin driver.
