The OCI driver frequently stops working for no apparent reason.
This was on Solaris 2.6, Oracle 8, NES 3.5.1, JRun 2.2.1 using the
JavaExchange connection pool. Sometimes the symptom is a hang,
sometimes an actual DB exception, but in either case the symptoms go
away after switching to the thin driver.
