It is a beta product. It is _very_ stable though. The latest beta is one of
the last few beta's that we will have before our 1.0 release that will
hopefully be around the JavaOne conference timeframe.

non-scientific speed tests have shown 1.0b4 to be roughly as fast as the IBM
Websphere product. We have some speed enhancements that will be added to the
1.0.1 release which will make it even faster. 1.1 will be even faster than
that as well because we (craig) has been re-working the core code for JSDK
2.1 support.

All in all, this is an ever improving product and is getting better every
day. We have close to 700 people on our users mailing list and around 15-20
core engineers working on it. We are really striving to make the best 100%
Open Source servlet engine out there.
