If the idea is to test/debug servlets then you might also consider
ServletExec Debugger which is free from New Atlanta. The problem is that
from what I understand, the debugger only works with Windows IDEs (someone
correct me if I am wrong).

I can't attest to how good it is since I don't know very much about
servlets/web servers yet and I have not yet been able to make it work with
CW 4 (hint-hint Vince ;-), but it seems like it is worth considering as a
debugging/testing platform.
