Hi,
I recently came across a (free-ish) bit of Java called 'RMIJdbc' which
sat on a machine running ODBC and gave network access to the databases -
MS Access or whatever, by using a different Jdbc driver at the client.
'fraid I've lost the link, but a search on 'RMIJdbc' should find it.
