I don't know what version of Web sphere you have. But if you are
using Web Sphere 2.0 then you should use IBM HTTP server 1.3.3.3 or
better. I have got this combination working.
Download it from here:
http://204.146.17.42/webservers/httpservers/download.html

N.B: I am not sure if Apache works with Web Sphere.
