I am glad I saw this thread of discussion.
Is it right to say that the collective opinion (if there can be such a
thing)
seems to say that
(a) stick to HTML unless you need to make complex presentations
(b) a HTML-Applet combo, with a judicious mix, will be a winner in
inter/intra or extra-net
(c) if not intended for Internet, Applets are OK speedwise
(d) if a thin client is a must, avoid Applets, stick to HTML
>From development point of view, generating HTML output is cumbersome
compared to dealing with Applets.
