Hi all,
I am given the task of designing the basic web
framework for our entire project. I need to select the
technology, tools and software. For the first place,it
has been decided as java servlets, jsp, ejb in MVC
pattern.
But I would like to check up from you, what are the
prime considerations, I need to take while designing
the web framework. I am new to designing framework and
hence I look for your inputs. I have seen few articles
on the web, as I am following your mails for almost
for a month.
I know few areas where I need to concentrate more are
:
1. Session Management.
2. Screen Navigation - Forward, Backward buttons
3. Security - User authentication
4. Persistence Framework - Storage and retrival of
objects
5. Object caching
6. Connection Pooling
7. Performance issues
8. Configuration & deployment issues.
Can you Java Gurus please guide me more and also
possible links where I get more information. Also
please let me know the other areas where possibly I
missed out.
I am also looking at STRUTS framework of apache.org. I
think I need few inputs before going and deciding on
any framework.
