I feel I must add a caveat here. It's nice to be mentioned above (and
by Nic), but I know that my contributions toward servlet technology
are nowhere near what many others on this list (and not on it) have
done. People like Nic, Craig McLanahan, Jason Hunter, Hans Bergsten,
Justin Wells, the people at Sun, the people at Apache/JServ/Tomcat,
the people at ServletExec and JRun, and lots more whose names I can't
remember (and which I apologize for :-), have done so much to make
servlets and related technology available and useful for everyone. I
have tried to be helpful on this (and a couple of other
servlet-related lists I'm on), and I have been vocal about trying to
keep this list focussed, but others have done a lot more. In fact, I
wish I had more time (and ability) to contribute to some of the really
worthwhile projects going on.
